YOU PEOPLE love this topic.

But that's really not what my report's about. We've got ideological confrontation!

http://freeconcord.wordpress.com/2011/07/25/planned-parenthood-protest-s...

Here's the video that my editrollial is about. The video was to cover a protest over planned parenthood's funding cut, but it turns into a shunning sort of thing, and part 2 isn't even out yet! If you look, you might see some freeconcord.org chalkings spewing about the background...

Wow, seriously??? Trolling a crowd of ladies who are defending Planned Parenthood? Marching around like some kind of wannabe militia with corny flags and shit? And then being surprised when people are hostile or bugged out by it? And having the fucking gall to argue that the campaign against PP isn't some kind of right-wing powergrab, but instead is all about "limited government" and "tax relief"? These libertarian goofballs are worse than the republicans. At least the republicans are honest about wanting to shut down Planned Parenthood so they can stop abortions. I seriously doubt that pap smears for poor women is the most egregious waste of tax dollars in the state. Just another lame excuse for the same right-wing campaign against choice.

You might wanna watch the video again. The videojournalist did not have any flags nor invite any militia. He was doing a video report on the protest, which is what he does for a living.

Oh no! You've seen through our charade! I might as well admit I'm not really an atheist that doesn't give two shits about your choice as long as it doesn't diminish mine, but a really clever God-nut that wants to make abortion outright illegal cuz I just want to make Amurika a Christian, white heaven.

You may be right about that part. I thought flag guy at 2:25 was heckling the ladies defending PP. But on second viewing, he seems to be with them. Either way, he's definitely not doing them any favors.

I stand by the rest.

The guy with the flags has "Labor" something on his shirt and carries some red flag with a symbol of I'm not sure what. My guess is he's there to promote the idea of left labor movementism, the way the liberty movement might show a black gadsden or market anarch flag.

My mind just started churning on the branding of ideologies to issues, and what socialism/labor movementism has branded itself with. There's a sort of natural alliance with PP.
