Has she heard of Etsy.com ? If not check it out. Its a selling site dedicated to home made what nots.
My girlfriend and a few other folks i know have them and they do quite well.

Etsy is definitely the way to go. There's also another craft site called Artfire (which has better listing fees) but it doesn't have as big of a market.
